Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker (Children’s Residential)

Salary: £15.40 – £16.00 per hour (DOE)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a large, growing organisation in Tadley. This Senior Residential Support Worker role is based in a children’s residential EBD home, supporting children and young people with complex needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or challenging behaviours. As a Senior Residential Support Worker in Tadley, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment that supports recovery and lasting change—making every day extraordinary for the children we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Senior Residential Support Worker team leadership: lead a team alongside other professionals to deliver therapeutic care tailored to each child
- Support service delivery: assist the Service Manager to ensure day-to-day operations meet the highest standards
- Mentoring and role modelling: act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships that promote growth and development
- Therapeutic practice: provide therapeutic care in a safe environment to facilitate recovery and positive change
- Record keeping: maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, event observations, and individualised care plans
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Excellent communication skills, naturally caring approach, and the ability to remain flexible and resilient
