Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s EBD Home

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care and education for children and young people with complex needs. The Senior Residential Support Worker will play a vital role in supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a Children’s EBD Home in Stevenage. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in a nurturing environment that promotes recovery and lasting change. The Senior Residential Support Worker in this role will be part of a team committed to excellence, passion, integrity, and caring, ensuring every day is meaningful for the children we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of professionals to deliver therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs
- Support the Service Manager in managing daily operations to high standards
- Act as a positive role model, fostering trusting relationships with children and colleagues
- Provide therapeutic care to promote recovery and positive development
- Maintain accurate documentation, including care plans, progress reports, and observations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent communication skills, caring nature, flexibility, and resilience
