We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care and education for children and young people with complex needs. As a Senior Residential Support Worker in Letchworth, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to fostering recovery, resilience, and positive development. The role involves leading a team, supporting service operations, and providing therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of support staff to deliver therapeutic care and support tailored to each child's individual needs.
- Support the Service Manager in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the children’s residential service in Letchworth.
- Act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships with children and colleagues to promote growth and development.
- Provide therapeutic care in a safe environment, facilitating recovery and positive change for young people.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, observations, and care plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent communication skills, caring nature, flexibility, and resilience.
