Job Title: Senior Children's Support Worker

Salary: £30,800 - £32,000 (sleep allowance included)
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated individual to join a leading specialist provider in Bristol as a Senior Children's Support Worker. This role involves supporting young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). If you are resilient, motivated, and eager to make a positive impact on young lives, this is the perfect role for you. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and support the management team during shifts
- Mentor and support new staff members
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives, depending on their age
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the homes
- Deal with challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support young people in developing independence and well-being
- Ensure a safe environment and keep up-to-date with individual care plans and guidelines
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals such as psychologists
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with young people is essential
- Experience within healthcare or social care settings is essential
- Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is essential
- Full UK driver’s licence is mandatory due to job requirements
- Resilience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
