Salary: £30,800 - £32,000 (sleep allowance included)

Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated individual to join a leading specialist provider in Bristol as a Senior Children's Support Worker. This role involves supporting young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). If you are resilient, motivated, and eager to make a positive impact on young lives, this is the perfect role for you. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring setting. The Senior Children's Support Worker role in Bristol offers rewarding challenges and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example and support the management team during shifts
Mentor and support new staff members
Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives, depending on their age
Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the homes
Deal with challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically
Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
Support young people in developing independence and well-being
Ensure a safe environment and keep up-to-date with individual care plans and guidelines
Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals such as psychologists

Requirements:

Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with young people is essential
Experience within healthcare or social care settings is essential
Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is essential
Full UK driver’s licence is mandatory due to job requirements
Resilience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
