A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join their Children’s Residential team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in the home.
  • Support the team and work closely with the Registered Manager to deliver exceptional care.
  • Provide high standards of childcare practice aligned with Person-Centred Values and therapeutic approaches.
  • Lead and motivate a team of Support Workers to ensure consistent, quality support.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies.
  • Support young people with their individual needs, including those displaying challenging behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 months’ experience working within a residential setting.
  • Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Ability to interact effectively with young people and team members.
  • Confidence to lead and support a team of Support Workers.
  • Experience working with children who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Full driving license is essential.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties.
