Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in Brecon. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a supportive environment that values person-centred care. Based in Brecon, you will work within a team committed to supporting individuals with autism and complex needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker in Brecon, your daily duties will include:

  • Leading shifts and overseeing team activities to ensure high-quality support
  • Allocating duties and supervising support staff to promote effective teamwork
  • Managing medication administration and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting individuals with autism in their daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household activities within the home setting
  • Encouraging participation in social, recreational, educational, and community activities
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentoring less experienced team members
  • Contributing to the review and development of person-centred care plans
  • Collaborating with families, professionals, and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and escalating concerns when necessary

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Support Worker in Brecon, you will need:

  • Recognised Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
  • A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence to support and motivate team members
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional nights
  • A full UK driving licence
