We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in Brecon. Based in Brecon, you will work within a team committed to supporting individuals with autism and complex needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker in Brecon, your daily duties will include:
- Leading shifts and overseeing team activities to ensure high-quality support
- Allocating duties and supervising support staff to promote effective teamwork
- Managing medication administration and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting individuals with autism in their daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household activities within the home setting
- Encouraging participation in social, recreational, educational, and community activities
- Acting as a positive role model and mentoring less experienced team members
- Contributing to the review and development of person-centred care plans
- Collaborating with families, professionals, and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and escalating concerns when necessary
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Support Worker in Brecon, you will need:
- Recognised Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence to support and motivate team members
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional nights
- A full UK driving licence
