Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Treharris. This role offers the opportunity to work within a specialist residential care setting, supporting young adults aged 16–25 with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. The service is committed to person-centred care, positive behaviour support, and promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in Treharris, your daily duties will include:

Delivering person-centred care and support plans tailored to individual needs
Supporting independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care
Promoting positive behaviour support (PBS) and emotional regulation strategies
Supporting community access and social inclusion activities
Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
Working within safeguarding, CQC, and health & social care standards
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:

A full UK driving licence (essential)
Experience in support work, care assistant roles, or residential care (desirable but not essential)
Passion for working in adult social care and autism support
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, resilient, and patient under pressure
Flexibility for shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins
Basic IT skills for care documentation
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
