Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker based in Brecon, your daily duties will include:
- Leading shifts and supporting team members to deliver consistent care
- Allocating duties and overseeing medication administration and record keeping
- Supporting individuals with autism in their daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household activities
- Encouraging participation in social, recreational, and community activities
- Acting as a positive role model and mentoring less experienced staff
- Contributing to the review and development of person-centred care plans
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring high standards of care are delivered
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Support Worker, you will need:
- Recognised Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Previous experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
- A genuine passion for helping others and promoting independence
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional nights
- A full UK driving licence
