Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Porth, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.50 - £29 per hour (DOE)

Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Porth. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children in residential settings, helping them achieve their full potential through compassionate care and engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people with daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and wellbeing among young residents
  • Attend trips, outings, and activities to enrich their social experiences
  • Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
  • Follow care plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and support
  • Provide emotional and practical support to children in your care
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safeguarding policies
  • Support children during weekends away, holidays, and special events

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or in a social care setting
  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport
  • Current DBS on the update service (child and adult) or willingness to obtain one
  • Restraint training (TMVA) or willingness to undertake training
  • Empathetic, resilient, and committed to creating positive outcomes for children
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts
