Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker (Children & Young People) – Children’s Residential Care & Support

We are recruiting for a leading specialist provider of children’s residential care, seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their warm and nurturing Emotional Well-being Home in Braunstone, Leicestershire. This is a exciting opportunity to work full-time, permanently, within a dynamic team committed to supporting young people aged 8–18 who may present with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Build Trust: Develop nurturing, respectful relationships that promote independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Partnership Working: Collaborate effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals to deliver holistic care plans.

Leadership: Support and lead Residential Support Workers, overseeing shift operations and team coordination.

Home Environment: Contribute to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and homely environment through daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and decorating.

Administration: Accurately document care activities, behaviours, and incidents, maintaining up-to-date digital and physical records.

Safeguarding: Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding policies, maintaining a secure environment and promoting the safety of all residents and staff.
Essential Requirements:

Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or a related field (or willingness to complete within set timeframe).

Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role within residential care.

Safeguarding: Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and policies.

Flexibility: Willingness to work a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to advocate effectively for young people and work collaboratively within a team.
Pay & Benefits:

Competitive Salary: Starting within a range of £25,000–£30,000, with opportunities for annual progression.
