Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when needed, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Support the development of residential care workers through supervision and training, fostering team growth
- Communicate effectively with the team about individual care plans and their implementation, ensuring consistency of care
- Maintain accurate written records, logs, and files for continuous monitoring and evaluation
- Contribute to staff meetings, promoting good communication and team cohesion
- Provide compassionate support and care to young people, encouraging positive behaviour and personal development
- Assist young people with their educational and recreational activities, including travel to and from school or college
- Prepare nutritious meals and maintain a clean, welcoming environment within the home
- Organise and facilitate engaging social activities that promote well-being and social skills

Shift Pattern:
- 16 to 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins, on a flexible one-on-two or two-on-four basis
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Desire to obtain a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Children & Younger Peoples workforce experience preferred but not essential; applications from those starting their career are encouraged
- Minimum 12 months senior support worker experience in residential care highly desirable
- DBS and reference checks in line with government safeguarding regulations will be required
