Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential

Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join a new residential care home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This is a full-time position offering a salary of £29,200 to £30,400 per year, plus an additional £3,250 to £9,750 per year for sleep-in shifts.

You'll be a vital part of the team, helping young people live happy, fulfilling lives in a safe and supportive home. The role involves leading by example, mentoring colleagues, and promoting a nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and well-being.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide high-quality daily care and support to young people in a residential setting.

  • Act as a mentor to other support staff, providing guidance and demonstrating best practices.

  • Help create and maintain a positive, nurturing environment for young people to thrive.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with both the children and your colleagues.

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in a children's residential care setting.

  • A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.

  • A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
