    Job Overview

    We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join a "Good" rated residential care home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This is a full-time, 39-hour-per-week role, with a salary of £31,200 to £32,400 per year, plus an additional £3,250 to £9,700 for sleep-in duties.

    This is a vital position where you will mentor and lead a team while helping to create a nurturing, supportive, and safe home environment for up to five young people aged 11-17. Your daily efforts will help these young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide high-quality daily care and support to young people.

  • Act as a mentor to support staff and lead by example in all duties.

  • Promote a positive and nurturing environment that fosters recovery and personal growth.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with both the children and your colleagues.

  • Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in a children's residential care setting.

  • A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.

  • A full UK driving licence is required for this position.
