Senior Support Worker – Children’s Residential

Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join a new residential care home for children and young people. This is a full-time, 39-hour-per-week position with an hourly rate of £15.40 - £16.00. You'll also earn an additional £62.64 per sleep-in shift, which can add an extra £3,000 - £6,000 per year to your salary.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work closely with the team to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for the young people.

Ensure the daily management of the home is handled professionally and competently.

Lead by example and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Help create and maintain a positive, therapeutic environment that encourages growth and well-being.

Record events and observations, and contribute to care plans.
Required Skills and Experience

A minimum of 12 months of experience in a children's residential setting or with child-centred, therapeutic models.

A Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

You must be flexible and able to work long day shifts, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

Great communication skills, with a naturally caring and resilient nature.
