Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Residential Support Worker based in Coalville, your daily duties will include:
- Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote independence, wellbeing, and social skills.
- Leading and supporting the Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
- Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
- Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Documenting information accurately and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
- Promoting a safe environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures and policies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will need:
- A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to complete this within a specified timeframe.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
- At least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care environment.
- A good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
