You’ll be the key on-site lead, working closely with a small team and a network of partner agencies to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
As a Service Manager based in Wilton, your daily duties will include:

  • Leading, motivating, and line-managing a small multi-disciplinary team, including supervision, appraisals, rota planning, induction, and performance management
  • Taking overall responsibility for service delivery across housing management, resident welfare, pathways support, premises, administration, and complaint resolution
  • Owning on-site compliance standards, including GDPR, data handling, policy adherence, health & safety, and inspection/audit readiness
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with statutory and voluntary organisations to secure practical support for residents (health, employment, benefits, and community pathways)
  • Representing the service professionally at meetings and events, providing clear updates and performance reporting to senior stakeholders

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Service Manager, you will need:

  • Proven people-management experience (including handling conduct, capability, and grievance matters fairly and promptly)
  • Experience in a public-facing, welfare, housing, or support environment (supported housing experience is welcomed but not essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance and confidentiality, with the confidence to act as a GDPR lead (or the ability to learn quickly)
  • Excellent communication and partnership-working skills, able to engage with both residents and senior external stakeholders
  • A calm, organised approach with reliable judgement and accurate record-keeping

Benefits & Work Environment

  • £45,000 per annum + car allowance with a stable, long-term opportunity
  • Support from external specialists (e.g., HR and operational support) to help you succeed in the role
  • Meaningful work with clear purpose, helping individuals progress towards independence
  • Autonomy and variety, leading a small team and shaping high standards on site

Chris at Vetro has been incredible.

I applied for a role I'd never done before, and not only did he help with my application process, but once I was offered an interview, he spent time ensuring I was sufficiently prepared. He has also made an once-a-week update meeting available to check on my onboarding process. If you're looking for work and support, I'd highly recommend Vetro Recruitment.
