Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker looking to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives? Join our client, a leading specialist provider of children’s social care, renowned for their commitment to excellence and outstanding Ofsted ratings. We are seeking a passionate Senior Social Worker to become a vital part of their dynamic Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an integrated, multidisciplinary environment where your expertise will directly impact disabled children and their families from initial assessment to ongoing support and transition planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families, developing tailored, child-centred care plans.
- Lead and chair multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure progress and plan delivery, fostering strong partnerships with parents, carers, and professionals.
- Use a range of engagement techniques to ensure the voice of the child is central to all planning and intervention activities.
- Contribute to service development initiatives, supporting innovative projects under the guidance of the Head of Service.
- Support and mentor students on placement and newly qualified staff, with opportunities to undertake the Practice Educators Course or other relevant training.
- Act as a liaison with local specialist schools to strengthen multi-agency collaboration and improve service delivery.
