Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children's Home Deputy Manager seeking their first step into a Registered Manager's role within a leading specialist provider of children’s residential care. This position offers the chance to oversee a 1-bed EBD home and a solo home catering for a young person with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
The Children's Home Manager will be responsible for the efficient running of this service, with potential for progression into multi-site management as the organisation expands. If you are a dedicated and experienced deputy manager looking for a role with autonomy and growth opportunities, this is an ideal opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold OFSTED registration and ensure compliance with all standards
- Manage and support staff teams within the service
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people
- Deliver therapeutic care and support tailored to individual needs
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and high-quality service
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, and staff development
- Ensure the service meets all OFSTED standards and regulations
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Children's Services)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Services
- Proven experience as a Children's Home Deputy Manager
- Experience working with children and young people with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Ability to work autonomously and lead a team effectively
