Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a high-performing, SEMH special school in the Wirral. This role involves working closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ behaviour and well-being, ensuring access to quality education across various key stages.
The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining the school’s outstanding standards and supportive ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant based in the Wirral, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs within classroom settings or small groups
- Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans
- Promoting positive behaviour and well-being to create a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will need:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people, particularly in SEMH or special educational needs settings
- A recognised qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Mandatory compliance including an Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK
