Job Title: Supervising Social Worker – Fostering Services

Salary: Up to £40,000

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider of fostering services is seeking a dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join their team to cover the Derby/ Nottingham areas. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload while overseeing the recruitment, assessment, training, and ongoing support of foster carers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about safeguarding children and committed to delivering high-quality fostering services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, assess, and monitor foster carers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Implement safeguarding practices in line with statutory requirements to protect children's welfare
• Provide training and ongoing support to foster carers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
• Collaborate with social workers, education staff, and healthcare providers to promote positive outcomes for children

Requirements:

• Social Work qualification (BA or MA)
• Registration with Social Work England
• Proven experience in fostering or child protection
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
