Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Team Manager to join a leading specialist provider dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism. The Support Team Manager in this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care in Caerphilly and Hengoed. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by leading dedicated support teams and ensuring excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage support staff teams to deliver person-centred support and care planning.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding standards and maintain current staff training.
- Promote active participation and independence for the people supported, encouraging community involvement.
- Manage services within budget, overseeing care hours, rotas, and contracts.
- Implement and update support plans and risk assessments, involving individuals and their circles of support.
- Foster a positive health, safety, and well-being culture across services.
- Support continuous improvement by acting on feedback from individuals and their families.
- Deliver services in accordance with contractual and legislative requirements, including C IW Standards, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding.
- Ensure the delivery of Active Support strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Requirements:
- QCF level 4/5 management qualification or willingness to work towards.
- Minimum of 1 year's management experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Experience liaising with external agencies, families, and representatives.
- Knowledge of legislative guidelines such as C IW Standards, Mental Capacity Act, and DOLS.
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to participate in an ‘Out of Hours’ service.
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and peer groups.
