Job Description:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider at a beautiful rural estate in the Towy Valley, near Llandovery. This full-time, permanent role offers an enriching opportunity to support young adults with complex additional learning needs and disabilities within a warm, family-like environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker – Young Adults Residential Service based in Llandovery, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting residents in their daily activities, promoting independence and self-advocacy
- Leading by example in a sociable environment where residents, staff, and volunteers share meals and socialise
- Assisting with practical tasks and encouraging residents to develop life skills
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and family-like atmosphere within the residential setting
- Participating in a variety of shifts across a 40-hour week, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker – Young Adults Residential Service, you will need:
- No prior experience necessary; full training provided
- A kind, patient, and practical approach to care
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable manner
- Ability to work flexible shifts across the week
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
