Job Description:
Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join their vibrant residential service in Llandovery. Set on a stunning 200-acre countryside site, with animals such as Alpacas, Sheep and Ducks this role offers a unique environment supporting young adults with learning difficulties, disabilities, and autism within a structured 24-hour curriculum and total communication environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in Llandovery, your daily duties will include:

  • Supporting person-centred planning to help individuals build independence, life skills, and confidence within the countryside setting.
  • Delivering respectful personal care in line with support plans, promoting privacy, dignity, and choice.
  • Maintaining clear care documentation, including Care Plans, Risk Assessments, and Behaviour Support Plans, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Administering medication safely following standard procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external stakeholders to deliver integrated support.
  • Completing domestic tasks within the residential setting and managing basic activity expenditures.
  • Undertaking sleep-ins or wakeful nights (typically one per week) and supporting individuals displaying challenging behaviour.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker in Llandovery, you will need:

  • No prior care experience required—just a compassionate approach, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.
  • Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
  • A commitment to person-centred care, safeguarding, and individual dignity.
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including sleep-ins.
  • QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification is desirable but not mandatory; qualified staff may assist with shift-leading duties.
