Support Worker – Children’s Complex Needs

Job Overview
We are looking for Resilient and Dedicated Support Workers to join the care team at a residential children’s home. This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) supporting some of the UK’s most complex and vulnerable children and young people.
The service supports young people with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication, and behavioural issues. This is an opportunity to make a profound difference in their lives, guiding them through their growth, development, and transition into adulthood.
Salary: Up to £26,951 to £27,976 per year.
Responsibilities and Duties

Support young people outside of school hours, and provide cover for educational staff breaks during the school day.

Actively support the development of life skills, including meal preparation, shopping, money handling, and choosing activities.

Assist with personal care for young people as required.

Accompany young people on activities both on and off-site, including trips to the beach, funfairs, adventure parks, and inclusive sports during school holidays.
Required Skills and Experience

No formal training is required. We are seeking individuals who are resilient, willing to learn, and possess a genuine passion for care work.

Full training and development will be provided.

Due to the semi-rural location, own transport is desirable.
