Support Worker – Young Adults Residential Service
Towy Valley, Salary £27,040 - £30,010 per annum, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

About the Role:
Reporting to the House Manager, you will help create a warm, family-like environment where residents can thrive. You will build trusting relationships, assist with daily living tasks, and encourage independence in a lively, sociable setting that includes residential houses, an education hub, sensory gardens, and on-site amenities such as a gym and community shop.

Supporting residents to develop life skills, self-advocacy, and confidence, you will play an integral role in their wellbeing and personal growth. Full comprehensive training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary—just a caring approach and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing practical support to young adults in their daily routines
  • Assisting residents to participate in activities and build life skills
  • Supporting residents with their individual care plans
  • Promoting independence and confidence in a safe, caring environment
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with residents and team members
  • Contributing to a welcoming, family-like atmosphere within the community

Essential Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship not available)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, kindness, and reliability
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts across a 40-hour week

Desirable:

  • Experience working with young adults or individuals with learning disabilities (not essential; full training provided)
  • A driving licence
