Salary: £26,950 based on 37.5 hours a week and one sleep in shift

Job Description
Support Worker opportunities are available at Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, supporting residents to live in a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment. Based in Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, you’ll work as part of a dedicated care team focused on delivering consistent, person-centred support that promotes dignity, wellbeing, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker based in Llangadog, Carmarthenshire, your daily duties will include:
- Creating and maintaining a clean, comfortable, and supportive living environment in line with care policies and procedures.
- Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, daily living skills, and emotional and social wellbeing, following Care Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Encouraging participation in meaningful activities within Llangadog, Carmarthenshire and the local community, helping residents build confidence and life skills.
- Contributing to shift handovers and meetings, completing accurate written records, and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
- Supporting with meal preparation and promoting a varied, nutritious diet, as well as maintaining cleanliness in communal and personal areas.
- Supporting with medication administration after appropriate training.
- Participating in rota requirements, including sleep-ins or awake nights, to maintain 24-hour cover.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:
- A caring attitude, strong verbal communication skills, and a flexible, motivated approach.
- Experience supporting individuals in a care or residential setting (desirable, but not essential depending on training provided).
- Willingness to follow the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work safely and responsibly in line with Health & Safety requirements.
- A full UK driving licence (required if driving duties are part of the rota).
