Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in Barry, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting individuals on a 1-1 basis to promote independence and encourage community access.
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
- Participating enthusiastically in activities tailored to the individuals’ preferences and needs.
- Working within a respite home supporting a range of individuals with different needs, ensuring high standards of support are maintained.
- Contributing to a positive, supportive environment that empowers individuals to achieve their goals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine passion for supporting others and making a difference.
- Flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including split shifts and 12/13-hour shifts, with potential for waking nights or sleeps.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and resilience under pressure.
- Drivers preferred but not essential.
- Relevant experience in a similar setting is advantageous.
