Job Description:
Our client, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Learning Disabilities to join their team in Carmarthenshire. Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker for Learning Disabilities based in Carmarthenshire, your daily duties will include:

  • Supporting residents in their daily lives, promoting independence and resilience.
  • Engaging residents in farm and outdoor activities, including animal care and community outings.
  • Assisting with social, recreational, and skill-building programmes tailored to individual interests.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to create a safe, enriching environment.
  • Supporting residents with mobility and personal care tasks as required.
  • Taking individuals to their chosen places of worship and outings in the community.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker for Learning Disabilities, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Level 2 medication training and experience supporting individuals with Down syndrome and cerebral palsy.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to drive service vehicles.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including outdoor activities and farm-related tasks.
  • Previous experience in care or support work is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
