Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in a rural area, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting residents in their daily lives, fostering independence, confidence, resilience, and personal growth.
- Engaging residents in farm-related and outdoor activities, including tending to the land and participating in social events.
- Assisting with social, recreational, and skill-building programmes tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Working collaboratively with a supportive team to create a safe, enriching environment.
- Supporting residents with outings to places of worship and other community activities, including driving the service vehicle.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
- Willingness to support residents with outings and activities outside the usual setting.
- Ability to drive and take residents out in the service vehicle.
- Previous experience in care or support work is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
- Mandatory compliance includes a full UK driving licence and a DBS check.
