Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in a scenic rural setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities, supporting their daily activities and personal development. No two days are the same, as you will engage in a variety of social, outdoor, and farm-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in a rural area, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting residents in their daily lives to foster independence, confidence, resilience, and personal growth.
- Engaging residents in farm-related and outdoor activities alongside the team.
- Assisting with social, recreational, and skill-building programmes tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Working collaboratively within a supportive team to create a safe, enriching environment.
- Supporting residents with their participation in local social activities such as pub visits, film nights, and community events.
- Providing transportation for residents to their chosen places of worship and other outings using the service vehicle.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
- Willingness to take residents to their chosen place of worship as required.
- Ability to drive and take service users out in the company vehicle.
- Previous experience in care or support work is advantageous but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
- Mandatory compliance includes a full UK driving licence and an enhanced DBS check.
