Salary: £29,659.50 based on 37.5 hours a week with one sleep-in shift. 

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description:
We are recruiting a Support Worker (Learning Disabilities) to join a friendly, dedicated team in a farm-based setting in Llangadog. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting adults with learning disabilities to build independence, confidence and life skills through meaningful daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker (Learning Disabilities) based in a farm-based setting, Llangadog your daily duties will include:

  • Supporting residents with day-to-day routines, encouraging independence, resilience and personal growth
  • Taking part in farm and outdoor tasks alongside residents, helping create purposeful, active days
  • Supporting social and recreational activities such as local discos, pub visits, film nights, games and other community-based outings
  • Assisting with skill-building programmes tailored to individual interests and abilities
  • Supporting individuals to attend their chosen place of worship when required
  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, positive and enriching environment
  • Driving service users in the service vehicle for activities and appointments (due to the rural location)

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker (Learning Disabilities), you will need:

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities
  • A proactive, positive attitude and flexibility to work across indoor and outdoor activities
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential due to location and community access)
  • Previous care/support experience (advantageous, but not essential)
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment checks (DBS supported)
