Support Worker – Residential Youth Care Assistant – Exeter, Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking dedicated Support Workers to join a modern semi-independent residential home in Exeter that supports young adults aged 16-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). About the role:

Key responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting
- Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of young residents
- Support young people to develop independence and life skills
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care
- Uphold care plans, reward systems, and communication preferences for each individual
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or with Young People is desirable but not essential
- Healthcare or social care experience is advantageous
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence (required for transporting young people)
- Must be over 21 years old
- Able to commute to Exeter
