Job Description:
Support Worker – Supported Accommodation roles are available in Exeter, supporting young people within a supported accommodation setting. You’ll help create a safe, stable, and structured environment where individuals can develop independence, build life skills, and feel heard.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker – Supported Accommodation based in Exeter, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting individuals’ emotional, educational, recreational, and social needs within a supported accommodation environment.
• Following each person’s support plan, risk assessments, and agreed communication strategies to promote choice and positive outcomes.
• Completing accurate daily records and admin tasks (e.g., daily notes, handovers, medication records (if applicable), incident/accident reporting).
• Promoting education/training/employment engagement and encouraging learning and life skills (e.g., routines, budgeting, cooking, tenancy readiness).
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment, responding appropriately to emergencies, and supporting health & safety procedures and drills.
• Using de-escalation approaches and agreed behaviour support strategies; intervening physically only when necessary and in line with guidance.
• Working flexibly on a rota, which may include sleep-in duties and occasional lone working, and supporting transport when required.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker – Supported Accommodation, you will need:

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
• Experience supporting young people/adults in supported accommodation, housing, care, or a similar setting (preferred).
• Willingness to complete all required training and follow policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Ability to work shifts, including sleep-ins and rota-based hours.
• Mandatory compliance requirements are not provided in the internal description (e.g., Enhanced DBS, driving licence). Please confirm what checks are required.
