Job Title: Support Worker – Residential Youth Care Assistant in Exeter | Full-Time, Permanent Role

Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 per annum DOE

This modern, semi-independent residential home supports young adults aged 16-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people in participating in activities and developing independence skills
- Foster a warm, homely, and welcoming environment within the residential setting
- Respond to challenging behaviours with empathy, professionalism, and patience
- Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of all residents
- Assist young people in developing essential life and social skills
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in care plans
- Uphold individual care plans, reward systems, and communication preferences
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Healthcare or social care experience is advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence (required for transporting young people)
- Must be over 21 years old
- Able to commute to Exeter
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to supporting young people
