Supported Living Worker – Adults with Additional Needs

Location: Cranleigh, Surrey, United Kingdom

Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Supported Living Workers to join our team in a supported living home. This is a crucial role where you will help adults with additional needs--including autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges--live independent and fulfilling lives.

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week, on a rota basis, including alternate weekends), with part-time hours also considered.

  • Salary: £26,951 – £27,926 per year.

  • Senior Supported Living Worker Salary: £28,232 – £29,881 per year.

  • Bonus: A £1,000 Retention Bonus is offered to all new staff.

The Role

As a Supported Living Worker, you will be a trusted companion and advocate, providing support with daily routines and encouraging independence.

  • Daily Support: Assist with tasks like cooking, shopping, and cleaning.

  • Community Engagement: Join in on activities such as gym sessions, nature walks, trips to the seaside, and college visits.

  • Emotional Guidance: Help tenants manage their emotions with kindness and guidance.

  • Advocacy: Act as a companion and advocate for the people you support.

Required Skills and Experience

  • No experience is required. We are looking for individuals with empathy, resilience, and a positive attitude. We will provide all the necessary training.

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required due to the semi-rural location. You may be asked to use your own vehicle or a company car to transport tenants (mileage will be reimbursed).

Benefits and Career Development

  • £1,000 Retention Bonus: Paid in instalments at 1 month, 1 year, and 18 months.

  • Fully-Funded Qualification: We will fully fund and support you to obtain a nationally recognised Level 3 Health & Social Care diploma.

  • Paid Holiday: 25 days of paid holiday per year, plus public holidays.

  • Health & Wellbeing: Private medical cash plan, life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Service offering 24/7 confidential counselling.

  • On-the-Job Training: Ongoing mentoring and training, including Team Teach positive behaviour support.

  • Discounts: Access to great discounts on fitness classes.

  • Supportive Culture: Work as part of a caring team with a strong culture, wellness support, and Mental Health First Aiders.
