We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team on a rural estate in the Towy Valley. This role involves supporting young adults with complex additional learning needs and disabilities within a vibrant, community-focused environment. You will play a key part in fostering a family-like atmosphere, helping residents develop independence, and contributing to a supportive, sociable setting.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker based in the Towy Valley, your daily duties will include:
- Assisting residents with practical daily tasks and personal care in a friendly, community setting.
- Supporting residents to build life skills and promote independence through personalised activities.
- Leading by example in a noisy, sociable environment, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all residents, staff, and volunteers.
- Contributing to a positive team environment by fostering strong relationships and encouraging resident participation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker, you will need:
- A caring and practical approach, with patience and consistency.
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities or in a similar setting (desirable but not essential).
- Full right to work in the UK; we are unable to sponsor visas.
- A willingness to undertake full training, as personality and attitude are valued over experience.
