Job Description:
We are recruiting a Support Worker (Young Adults with Additional Learning Needs) to join a welcoming, community-focused service in Towy Valley, Carmarthenshire. Set on a rural estate with residential houses, education spaces and on-site amenities, the team supports young adults with complex additional learning needs and disabilities to build skills, confidence and greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker (Young Adults with Additional Learning Needs) based in Towy Valley, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting residents with practical day-to-day tasks, routines and independent living skills
- Encouraging self-advocacy, positive choices and participation in community life across the estate
- Working closely with the House Manager and wider team to maintain a safe, friendly, family-feel home environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Support Worker (Young Adults with Additional Learning Needs), you will need:
- Right to work in the UK (please note: sponsorship is not available)
- A kind, practical and reliable approach, with the ability to remain patient and consistent
- Willingness to work shift patterns across a 52-week service
- Ability to work in a busy, sociable residential setting where residents, staff and volunteers share daily life together
