Supported Living Worker – Night Waking Shifts (Adults with Additional Needs)

Job Overview
We are recruiting a caring, empathetic, and resilient Supported Living Worker to join the dedicated night team at a supported living house for adults with complex needs. This is a permanent role focused on providing essential overnight support to adults with autistic spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and communication needs.
No prior experience is necessary - you will receive excellent training, a full induction, and ongoing mentoring to help you succeed.

Salary: £26,951 - £27,976 per year

Night Waking Allowance: £650 per year

Retention Bonus: A £1,000 Retention Bonus is offered (paid in instalments over 18 months).

Hours: 37 hours per week, working permanent night waking shifts on a rota basis, year-round.
The Role and Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to ensure tenants feel safe, supported, and at home during the night.

Supporting tenants if they wake during the night, ensuring they feel safe and at home.

Providing reassurance and guidance when tenants feel anxious or frustrated.

Using positive behaviour support techniques (full training provided).

Building trusting relationships that help tenants live fulfilled and independent lives.
Required Qualities and Experience

Qualities: Compassion, patience, and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential.

Resilience: A sufficient level of mental, physical, and emotional resilience to meet the demands of the role.

Experience: No prior experience is necessary.

Transport: Own transport is desirable due to the semi-rural location.
