Job Title: Support Worker – Supported Accommodation for Young People in Wrexham
Location: Wrexham, North Wales, UK
Salary: £33,152 – £34,342 per year (depending on qualifications)
Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives? A leading specialist provider in supported accommodation is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join their new service in Wrexham. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new 4-bed supported accommodation home for 16–17-year-olds in Wrexham, offering a rewarding career in youth support and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people to support their independence and personal growth
- Assist with developing essential life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care
- Promote emotional well-being and resilience through daily support and structured routines
- Encourage engagement in education, training, and employment opportunities
- Safeguard young people in line with statutory guidance and company policies
- Support community involvement, activities, and personal development initiatives
- Work collaboratively within a team to provide stability and consistency in the home
- Record keywork sessions, daily logs, and contribute to support planning
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve independence
- Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with young people
- Patience, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Relevant experience in supported accommodation, residential childcare, or similar settings is desirable but not essential
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete this within an agreed timeframe
- A driver over 25 with relevant experience to facilitate outdoor activities and outings for young people (ex-military experience is a plus)

Shift Pattern:
- 3-week rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
- Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Sunday
- Week 3: Thursday
- 24-hour shifts including sleep-ins
