Salary: £28,683 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (35 hours per week, flexible; 2nd tier on-call rota approx. 1 week in 6)
Job Description
We are recruiting a Projects Manager to oversee high-quality housing-related support services in Bridgend, Bridgend County Borough. This is a key leadership role supporting teams who work with vulnerable individuals aged 16+ in partnership with Social Services, Housing, and other agencies.
You’ll take ownership of service delivery across a small portfolio of supported housing projects, ensuring safe, trauma-informed practice and strong outcomes for those supported.
Key Responsibilities
As a Projects Manager based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:
- Leading and supporting staff through regular supervision, reflective practice, and guidance on safeguarding and risk
- Monitoring service performance against action plans and funding requirements, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery
- Managing referrals and allocations, responding to urgent needs to prevent escalation of risk or hardship
- Ensuring robust risk assessments, safety planning, and safeguarding processes (including MARAC/MAPPA where required)
- Building effective working relationships with statutory and voluntary partners (e.g., Social Services, Police, Probation, colleges, training providers)
- Completing audits and ensuring accurate monitoring returns and case management standards
- Supporting budget control, spend approvals, and timely submission of finance-related processes
- Participating in partnership/commissioner meetings and promoting services appropriately
- Providing on-call advice and, where needed, out-of-hours attendance/cover to maintain service continuity
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Projects Manager, you will need:
- Proven line management experience within a support environment
- Experience supporting teams working with complex needs (e.g., mental health, substance misuse, offending, domestic abuse, childhood trauma, care experience)
- Strong understanding of housing and homelessness issues affecting vulnerable groups
- Confidence in risk management, safeguarding, and safety planning
- Competent IT skills (e.g., MS Word, Teams, Outlook and case management systems)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
