An exciting management opportunity is available for a Supported Living Manager to join a leading specialist provider in Swansea. This role offers the chance to lead support teams across two supported living homes, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The Supported Living Manager will play a vital role in driving positive outcomes, fostering independence, and promoting community inclusion. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop support staff teams across supported living services in Swansea.
- Ensure the consistent implementation of person-centred support plans, health plans, and behavioural support strategies.
- Embed Active Support and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches throughout the services.
- Manage complex behavioural and environmental challenges with professionalism and confidence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external partners.
- Support teams through change and challenging situations with resilience and clarity.
- Ensure all documentation, risk assessments, and support plans are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.
- Represent the organisation positively during reviews, meetings, and inspections.
- Participate in on-call arrangements and travel across the region as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading and supervising teams within supported living or similar settings.
- Demonstrable experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Calm, positive communication style, especially in emotionally demanding situations.
- Confidence managing risk and supporting teams with consistent practice.
- Excellent written and IT skills, including digital systems proficiency.
- QCF/RQF Level 3 (or equivalent), with a willingness to work towards Level 5.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regionally.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable:
- Experience within forensic or highly complex environments.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and PBS frameworks.
