Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Night Support Worker to join their supported living team in Cranleigh. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are compassionate, patient, and resilient, to make a positive impact on the lives of adults with complex needs. The Night Support Worker role offers a chance to work in a supportive environment, providing overnight care and emotional support to tenants with autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, and communication needs. No prior experience is necessary, as comprehensive training, induction, and ongoing mentoring are provided to help you succeed in this full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting tenants during night waking shifts to ensure their safety and comfort
- Providing reassurance and emotional support to tenants feeling anxious or unsettled
- Using Positive Behaviour Support techniques to manage complex needs (full training provided)
- Building trusting relationships that promote independence and well-being
- Adhering to safety and safeguarding guidelines to protect vulnerable adults
Requirements:
- Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude
- Resilience to meet the physical, mental, and emotional demands of night-based care
- Own transport is desirable due to the semi-rural location of the home
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
