Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Teacher specialising in Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to join a leading specialist provider in Aberdare. This role offers the opportunity to work across a vibrant school environment supporting learners with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), and challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact on learners' lives and thrive in a dynamic, supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and supervise learners with ASD, EBD, or challenging behaviour
Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
Support staff in preparing classrooms for lessons
Deliver a variety of subjects at both primary and secondary levels
Engage learners through classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Follow the school's behaviour management policies

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year teaching experience within a Special School setting
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (we can assist with registration)
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
