Job Description:
Our client, a reputable Christian primary school in Liverpool, is seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join their team on a fixed-term basis until 31st August 2027. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) within a nurturing and inclusive environment, contributing to their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant based in Liverpool, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting a pupil with SEN to work towards their education and health care plan (EHCP) outcomes.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, promoting independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
- Assisting with behaviour management and supporting routines, transitions, and emotional needs.
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of personalised learning activities aligned with EHCPs.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt support strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning.
- Experience working with children with SEN or in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, health & safety, and GDPR.
- First-aid training or willingness to complete it.
