Job Description:
Our client, a highly regarded primary school in Newport, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to teachers and students across the Foundation Phase.
• Assist in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote positive learning experiences.
• Work in partnership with the Class Teacher to create an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing classroom setting.
• Support individual pupils and small groups, ensuring they stay motivated and on task.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships among students.
• Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
• A proactive, caring attitude with the ability to adapt to different needs of pupils.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting student development.
• Eligible to work in the UK and possess the right to work in education.

Working Pattern:

• Full-time, long-term role
• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
