Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant - Full-Time, Merthyr Tydfil

Location: Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, UK

Salary: £88.92 per day (DOE)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the foundation phase, helping create a nurturing learning environment for early years students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective support within the classroom to assist the teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all pupils.
• Support with classroom management and behavioural guidance.
• Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to track student progress and support individual needs.
• Encourage student participation and confidence in their learning journey.
• Ensure the health and safety of all pupils during activities.

Candidate Requirements:

• Prior experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable attitude.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Working Hours & Benefits:

• Full-time, long-term contract, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
• Competitive daily rate of £88.92 or more, depending on experience.
