An esteemed primary school in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking a dedicated full-time Primary School Teaching Assistant to join their foundation phase team. Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to teachers and students in the foundation phase
- Assist with planning and implementing engaging activities tailored to early years learning
- Support individual and group pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Help monitor student progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the class teacher
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during school hours
- Support pupils with their educational and developmental needs to promote effective learning
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about supporting young learners and inclusive education
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work well as part of a team
- Flexible attitude towards duties and responsibilities
Working Pattern:
- Full-time, long-term contract
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
