Salary: £88.92 per day (competitive daily rate)

We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a reputable, forward-thinking educational institution in Merthyr Tydfil. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the foundation phase, assisting teachers in creating an inspiring and inclusive learning environment for young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to enhance the learning experience for primary school pupils
• Work collaboratively with class teachers to implement lesson plans and classroom activities
• Support the development of children’s social, emotional, and academic skills
• Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior
• Foster an inclusive environment that promotes equal opportunities for all pupils
• Aid in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
• Supervise and engage with students during lessons, break times, and other activities

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting young learners
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and needs
• Relevant qualifications in Childcare, Education Support, or similar are advantageous but not essential
• A proactive approach and passion for child development

Working Pattern:

• Full-time, long-term position from Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a positive and engaging school community
