We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent. This full-time, long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to work within the foundation phase, assisting teachers to create engaging, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support to ensure smooth daily operations
- Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to implement lesson plans and activities
- Support the development of children's social, emotional, and academic skills
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils
- Assist with classroom management and supervision during lessons and breaks
- Help identify and support the individual needs of pupils to promote their progress
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young children, ideally in a primary school setting
- Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential
