Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant – Foundation Phase | Full-Time Role in Tonypandy

Location: Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, UK

Salary: £88.92 per day (DOE)

Job Description:

Join a dedicated team at a leading primary school in Tonypandy as a Primary Teaching Assistant supporting the Foundation Phase in a full-time, long-term role. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate individuals looking to make a positive impact on young learners’ educational journey.

Responsibilities:

• Provide effective classroom support in the Foundation Phase for early years and Key Stage 1 pupils.
• Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of classroom activities.
• Support pupils with their individual learning needs and developmental goals.
• Foster a positive and safe learning environment that encourages participation and confidence.
• Promote inclusion by supporting social and emotional development among pupils.
• Supervise and care for children during breaks and other non-teaching times, as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, caring, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Recognised qualification related to childcare or education (desirable but not essential).
• Eligible to work in the UK and undergo necessary checks (DBS, references).
